Built in 1975 by Palmer Johnson in Wisconsin for a wealthy resident of the Great Lakes, this luxury yacht spent her entire life in freshwater until 2001. Each year she was used for only 4 months of cruising and spent her winters in an environmentally controlled boathouse.
When the current owner acquired her 4 years ago, a complete refit and renovation program was undertaken at a cost of over one million US$. All her systems were updated including new engine, bowthruster, and generator, new sanitation system and watermaker. The vessel was rewired and the interior was extensively remodelled and modernized with all the amenities expected of a luxury sailing yacht today.
This Palmer Johnson is more sailor than motor-sailor and her innovative cutter rig with loose-footed mainsail can be managed easily by two.
